AXA bets on Africa and Nigeria once again

The French group AXA has purchased Assur Africa Holding to the investment firm Development Partners International (DPI) for 247.1 million USD.

The operation has given AXA the ownership of AAH's 77%-stake of Mansard Insurance.

As a reminder, Mansard Insurance is ranked 4th on the Nigerian market in terms of gross written premiums. These premiums amounted to 83.5 million USD in 2013, with more than three-quarters coming from non-life activity.
