AXA is taking new measures to combat global warming

Axa XL, operating mainly in the United States, has announced to stop on January 1, 2020, the underwriting of risks related to coal, tar sand, tobacco, Arctic drilling and certain categories of weapons.

These measures, which were announced during the Climate Finance Day held on 26 November 2018 in Paris, are part of the expansion of AXA's anti-global warming policy.

This restrictive policy could deprive the new entity AXA XL from premiums worth 138 million USD in 2020.
