AXA: significant increase in H1 2021 results

AXAThe AXA group recorded an increase of 3% in its turnover during the first half of 2021. The latter went from 52.391 billion EUR (58.92 billion USD) as at 30 June 2020 to 53.865 billion EUR (64.12 billion USD) a year later.

The group posted a half-year net profit of 3.996 billion EUR (4.756 billion USD) against the 1.429 billion EUR (1.607 billion USD) at the end of June 2020, that is a growth of 180% over one year. This performance is driven by a 93% improvement in the operating result, by higher financial results and by the net realized capital gains.

As at 30 June 2021, the group' solvency ratio stood at 212%, up by 12 points compared to 31 December 2020.

The AXA Board of Directors will propose, at the shareholders' meeting scheduled for April 2022, the reappointment of Thomas Buberl as director and CEO.
