Bachir Baddou re-elected to GFIA's Executive Committee

Bachir Baddou, general manager of the Moroccan federation of insurance and reinsurance companies (FMSAR), was re-elected to the Executive Committee of the Global Federation of Insurance Associations (GFIA) at its General Assembly held in Luxembourg on 8 November 2018. This is the second consecutive term for Bachir Baddou in this global institution where he is representing Africa and the Middle East.

GFIA's Executive Committee is chaired by a representative of the Mexican market and is made up of five members from the European Union, Japan, Canada, New Zealand and Morocco.

As a reminder, GFIA was established in 2012 to represent national and regional insurance associations within various bodies such as national governments and international regulators. The organization currently has insurance associations and federations from 61 member countries accounting for 87% of the global premiums.
