Barclays Bank enters the life insurance market

Barclays Bank of Kenya announced the imminent launch of its new structure dedicated to life insurance.

Called Barclays Life Assurance Kenya Limited, the new entity is expected to start its operations in a few weeks, according to Yusuf Omari, chief financial officer at Barclays Bank.

This operation will enable the bank to diversify its revenue sources, according to its managing director, Jeremy Awori.
