BH Assurance: results increase in 2021

BH Assurance recorded a 15.6% turnover increase in 2021 with 147.5 million TND (51.2 million USD) compared to 127.6 million TND (47.08 million USD) in 2020.

The Tunisian insurer's activity is dominated by the non-life activity which represents 63% of the premium income, that is 93.2 million TND (32.3 million USD) of written premiums.

Life insurance, on the other hand, showed a 22% growth with 54.2 million TND (18.9 million USD), that is, 37% of the total premiums underwritten by the company at the end of 2021.

The net profit went from 9.7 million TND (3.6 million USD) as of 31 December 2020 to 13.1 million TND (4.5 million USD) at the end of last year.

BH Assurance proposed a dividend distribution of 1.1 TND (0.4 USD) per share for the year 2021 compared to 1 TND (0.3 USD) in 2020.
