BKIC's profits on the rise in 2009

Bahrain Kuwait Insurance (BKIC) has posted a profit of 4 million BHD (10.6 million USD) in 2009, that is, 8.1% more than 2008. This result has been achieved despite a 22% decrease of the financial products. BKIC has seen the volume of gross premiums go down by 36 million BHD (96.2 million USD) in 2008 reaching 31.8 million BHD (84.6 million USD) in 2009. Its underwriting result has grown by 27% with 3.8 million BHD (10.1 million USD).
