BMW will test driverless cars in Munich

BMW is about to test autonomous vehicles in Munich as of 2017. Just as company Uber whose vehicles are ready to run in the United States, the Bavarian manufacturer is keen on keeping pace with the pack of innovating companies in this sector.

Uber’s fast growth has prompted BMW to consolidate its strategy aimed at developing its own vehicles on a user-pay principle. German motor firm will therefore be deploying forty vehicles for its tests.

Software-editing companies using new technologies such as Lyft, Juno and Uber have revolutionized the classical pattern of car sales. They provide customers with an alternative solution to purchasing consisting in the temporary booking of a vehicle by means of a Smartphone.
