CAAR, 14.2 million USD in profits

CAAR (the Compagnie Algérienne d’Assurance et de Réassurance) has posted a net profit of 1.082 billion DZD (14.2 million USD) in 2010. The balance sheet total is of 42.224 billion DZD (557 million USD) whereas the capital is of 12 billion DZD (158 million USD).
Last March, CAAR established a life insurance company called Caarama, dotted with a capital of 1 billion DZD (13.1 million USD). In 2010, CAAR’s turnover attained 12.8 billion DZD (168 million USD), 1.4 billion DZD (18.4 million USD) of which from life insurance.
