Carl Hess, President and CEO of Willis Towers Watson

Carl Hess has been appointed, effective immediately, President of the Board of Directors of Willis Towers Watson (WTW).

C. Hess has also been promoted to chief executive officer (CEO) of the UK brokerage firm. He will take over this position from John Haley, who is retiring.

The second appointment is effective as of 1 January 2022.

Carl Hess joined WTW in 1989 where, over 32 years, he occupied several management positions, including that of Head of the investment, risk and reinsurance department.

A graduate of Yale University, Hess is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst.
