Chinese insurers invest 240 billion USD in infrastructures and the improvement of the quality of life

In 2016, Chinese insurers invested 1.650 billion CNY(240 billion USD) in infrastructure projects and to improve the quality of life. The projects funded relate mainly to the energy, real estate, transportation and health sectors. Chinese insurers also contributed in two projects of national scope.

The "Road and Belt" initiative has mobilized 592.3 billion CNY (86.12 billion USD). While the development of the economic belt of the Yangtze River, which will link ten provinces from East to West, has been financed by 135.9 billion CNY (19.76 billion USD).
