Chubb offers 23.24 billion USD for the acquisition of Hartford

Chubb Group is bidding 23.24 billion USD for the acquisition of Hartford Financial Services Group, that is 65 USD per share.

The offer appeared appealing until Hartford's shares went up by 19% during the day of 18 March 2021, raising its valuation to 24.6 billion USD.

The American insurer has not provided a final answer to this proposal yet. The Board of Directors will carefully examine the offer and make a decision that best serves the interests of the company's shareholders.
