CNAM, electronic health insurance cards

Starting from 2019, the CNAM affiliated members will have access to an electronic health insurance card. This solution makes it possible to fight against insurance fraud and to put an end to the reimbursement limit exceeding, a situation that has caused significant losses to the national fund.

The new card will have a unique code for each CNAM member. It allows the care provider (doctor, pharmacist ...) to access the CNAM database. However, the managers of the institution confirm that the card will not contain any personal data of the insured.
