Algeria: CNMA, increasing turnover in 2015

The Caisse Nationale de Mutualité Agricole (CNMA) announced a 10.7% increase of its turnover in 2015. The premium volume went from11.2 billion DZD (128.07 million USD) in 2014 DZD to 12.4 billion (USD 116.33 million) in 2015.

In a market facing some stagnation, the company is the only one to show a double-digit growth. Backed by this strong growth, the CNMA alone holds 10.5% of the total premiums written in the Algerian market.

The share of the company's market increased to 75% on agricultural risk segment where it recorded a turnover of 2.7 billion DZD (25.33 million USD), increasing by 8% in comparison with the previous year.

The growth of the company's turnover was nevertheless accompanied by an increase in the amount of claims paid which increased by 21% to 6.7 billion DZD (62.86 million USD) in 2015.
In 2014, CNMA increased its capital from 1 billion DZD (USD 11.44 million) to 3 billion DZD (34.31 million USD).
