COMAR Assurances: 2019 results

The Compagnie Méditerranéenne d'Assurances et de Réassurances (COMAR) closed the 2019 financial year with a net profit of 25.8 million TND (9.2 million USD), down 5% compared to the 27.3 million TND (9.07 million USD) recorded in 2018.

The total shareholders' equity, before fiscal year result, was established at 210.73 million TND (75.21 million USD). Gross written premiums recorded a 1.97% growth over one year, i.e. 212.16 million TND (75.73 million USD) in 2019 against 208.05 million TND (69.12 million USD) in 2018.

For the non-life class of business, the gross loss experience was established at 124.13 million TND (44.3 million USD), down by 14.61% compared to 2018.
