Commuting accidents main cause of death at work

Commuting accidents are the first cause of death at work in France. Although these accidents are not the most frequent, they nevertheless generate the most damage.

A study carried out by MMA (one of the three companies of the Covéa group) shows that risky driving has worsened since the health crisis. Indeed, 36% of the drivers surveyed have already lost points on their driving license in 2022, seven points more than in 2021. The number of fines has also increased by four points, and one in two employees say they came close to being involved in a commuting accident in 2022.

According to the report, 80% of respondents admit to risky driving behavior, 71% admit to not observing speed limits and 56% use their cell phones while driving.
