Companies underwrite insurance policies to take advantage of their employees' death

It does exist and it is legal. In the United States, where everything is possible, companies can take out life insurance for their employees and be the beneficiaries of the contracts. In other words, on the employee's death, it is not his family who will receive the insurance money but his company.

It is obviously shocking ! But a large number of employees are willing to sign this type of insurance contracts. In return, they benefit from tax advantages.

According to New York Times, hundreds of companies have underwitten life insurance policies for thousands of employees of which they are the beneficiaries.
