Companies will have to abandon the systematic placement of risks abroad

In an effort to slowdown the volume of foreign currency transfer, the authorities have asked national insurance companies and the large firms in the industrial and mining sector , in particular, to refrain from systematically placing risks abroad. Henceforth, only products that are unavailable on the Zambian market could be underwritten abroad upon authority approval.
