Continental Re: Results H1 2020

Continental ReIn the first half of 2020, Continental Re and its various African subsidiaries achieved excellent results.

The gross written premiums amounted to 71.7 million USD, an increase of 27% compared to the same period in 2019. The underwriting profit reached 6.9 million USD against 1.3 million USD a year earlier, thus increasing by 442%.

The profit before tax was set at 12.3 million USD, an increase of 300% over one year. The investment incomes amounted to 4.6 million USD by late June 2020, a 30% growth compared to the same period in 2019.
