Converium, increase of capital

Following its financial hardships in the United States which accounted for the 70% fall in its shares, the Swiss group Converium has proceeded to an increase of its capital by 343 million euros (437 million USD). With the acquisition of 5.84% of the shares, the British fortune manager Odey Asset Management becomes an important shareholder in the group.
