Covid-19: a PCR test in 30 minutes
"Flash 20", the fastest PCR testing machine in the world, is made in China. It is capable of providing viro-logical test results in 30 minutes with 97% consistency with traditional PCR tests.
"Flash 20" is the size of a printer and costs 44 550 USD. It can analyze four samples simultaneously. The device is very useful in hospitals, especially for testing patients in emergency situations.
In China, the health authorities have been using "Flash 20" for several months and some airports are equipped with this mini-laboratory to screen passengers. In the United Kingdom, two devices are cur-rently being tested. Meanwhile, the manufacturer, Coyote, is in negotiations with potential French buyers.
