Covid-19: stricter contract renewal conditions

Covid-19As they approach the renewal of their contracts, companies are facing tougher negotiations with insurers. The health crisis is leading the insurers to be much more demanding; not only increasing their prices, but also their deductibles while limiting the amount of coverage provided.

French insurance companies have also decided to exclude pandemic and cyber risks from their future contracts. Some companies have been required to sign endorsements specifying that they no longer benefit from a pandemics/epidemics cover.

In addition, insurers are reducing coverage for strikes, riots and popular movements, especially for the retail sector.
