Crédit Agricole Assurances supports reforestation in France

ARCAThe French insurer Crédit Agricole Assurances undertakes to plant 500 000 trees per year, or 500 hectares of forest annually. This action is undertaken in partnership with the social enterprise Reforest'Action and the Endowment Fund Plant for the future (Plantons pour l’Avenir).

To implement this project, the insurer will proceed as follows:

  • "Plantons pour l’Avenir" will receive a grant from Credit Agricole Assurances for planting 200 000 trees as part of a sponsorship program.
  • The insurer undertakes to plant a tree for each subscription of an insurance policy, up to reach 300 000 plants. Customer advisors will provide the policyholders with codes for planting trees through the Reforest'Action site.

This initiative is part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy to support sustainable development.

As a reminder, Credit Agricole Assurances recorded a turnover of 33.5 billion EUR (41.5 billion USD) in 2018.
