Cybercrime affects a fifth of UAE nationals

According to a study conducted by Norton by Symantec, one of the leading IT security providers, the number of cyber attacks is increasing steadily in the United Arab Emirates.

More than a fifth of the population, that is two million people have been affected by cybercrime in 2015. These computer attacks cost, during the same period, 4.9 billion AED (1.3 billion USD) to Internet users.

The E-commerce, online banking and the use of credit cards are the main risk-bearing activities.
