Dai-ichi Life maintains its international expansion policy in 2016

Dai-ichi Life intends to accelerate its international expansion. The Japanese insurer that already acquired a life company in Vietnam in 2007, another one in Australia in 2011 and the American Protective Life in February 2015 for an amount of 5.5 billion USD,hopes to give more power to its new entities. To do so, the company is planning to create, in October 2016, a holding company that would include all of the recently acquired companies.

The search for new investment opportunities has once again been confirmed. The main targets are the American and Asian markets except China. An expansion in Europe is not part of the insurer's short-term plans.
