Digitization threatens one million jobs

AI

According to the consulting firm McKinsey, the spread of artificial intelligence should eliminate, by 2030, one million jobs in the financial sector, insurance included.

Among the most threatened professions we find the back offices, the collection agents, the data entry operators and the insurance intermediaries.

These functions, which today account for 38% of the workforce in the sector, would represent, by 2030, 31% only.
However, to counterbalance this trend, other professions such as those related to the development of digital solutions, data analysis and exploitation should witness significant growth.

The customer relationship channel should also develop. It confirms, thus, the importance of the human dimension in the digital era.
McKinsey estimates that these new jobs will concentrate 41% of the finance workforce by 2030.
