Earthquake: Insured losses estimated between 3 and 8 billion USD

According to the first estimates of the American company US EQECAT, the damages caused by the February 27, 2010 earthquake could amount to sums between 3 and 8 billion USD. Economic loss is valued between 15 and 30 billion USD, that is, four times as much as insured losses.
