Emirati policyholders will receive a replacement car in case of accident
The Emirati regulators have promulgated a new law governing motor insurance.
According to the terms of this regulation, insurers will have to provide injured policyholders with a replacement vehicle for a period of ten days.
The service may also take the form of a daily remuneration to cover the costs related to the rental of a replacement car. The compensation ceiling is set at 300 AED (81 USD) per day.
This law will take effect as from the year 2017 and will include a bonus system for good drivers.
