Establishment of a "third-party payer" company in Algeria

A health insurance company offering "third-party payment" services will soon be established in Algeria. This kind of third party administrator (TPA) will allow patients to benefit from a down payment on medical care and hospitalization expenses.

This project is initiated and led by the Compagnie Centrale de Réassurance (CCR), which with 40% of the capital is the principal shareholder of the new company. The remaining 60% are distributed between the four local insurance companies: namely, the Société Algérienne d’Assurance (SAA), the Compagnie Algérienne d’Assurance et de Réassurance (CAAR), the Compagnie Algérienne des Assurances Transport (CAAT) and the Compagnie d’Assurance des Hydrocarbures (CASH).

The company will officially start its operations in early 2018.
