Establishment of an insurance pool for the coverage of oil and gas risks in Senegal

The constituent general assembly, organized by the Association of Insurance Companies of Senegal (ASS) on August 29, 2018 in Dakar, decided to set up an oil and gas insurance pool in Senegal, an initiative that is inspired by the Ghanaian model.

This pool will bring together all Senegalese insurance companies. It will act as a speaker with operators in the oil sector and should make it possible to manage oil and gas risks rationally.

The pool setting up document will be signed in the next few days, after the final drafting of the various amendments.
