Ethiopia Reinsurance starts operating in July 2016

Yewondessen Eteefa, former CEO of Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC) has been appointed head of Ethiopia Reinsurance.

Created in February 2016, the reinsurance company will begin its operations on July 1, 2016.

Ethiopia's Central Bank is the major shareholder with 40%.
The remaining capital is held by 17 financial institutions and insurance companies as well as 81 individual shareholders.
