Europ Assistance to acquire MAPFRE Insurance Services Australia

Europ Assistance, a subsidiary of the Generali group, has acquired MAPFRE Insurance Services Australia and its local travel insurance brand, InsureandGo. The amount of the transaction has yet to be disclosed.

After acquisitions in New Caledonia, Thailand and Malaysia, this expansion into Australia will strengthen Europ Assistance's international presence.

Founded in 1963, Europ Assistance is present in more than 200 countries and territories thanks to its network of 750 000 approved service providers and 41 assistance centers.

The group provides a wide range of services: motor assistance, personal assistance, travel insurance, protection of the elderly and digital identity, telemedicine, concierge services, etc.
