Europe, storm Joachim estimated at 388.5 million USD

The damages caused by storm Joachim which lashed the European continent from December 15 to 17, 2011 is estimated at 300 million EUR (388.5 million USD). This toll does not include the sums supported by the French natural catastrophes insurance plan. France was the hardest hit by storm Joachim. Germany and Switzerland have also sustained important damages.
