FAIR Pool reports 132.7 million USD of turnover in 2015
The Federation of Afro-Asian Insurers and Reinsurers, FAIR, has posted a turnover of 1.036 billion EGP (132.7 million USD) in 2015. According to Adel Mounir, its secretary general, the premiums written are broken down as follows: 400 million EGP (51.3 million USD) generated from the Oil & Energy pool run by Trust Re, 600 million EGP (76.9 million USD) from the non life reinsurance pool run by Milli Re, 30 million EGP (3.8 million USD) from the aviation pool run by SCR and 6 million EGP (769 000 USD) from the pool designed for natural catastrophes run by GIC Re.
The different pools have been designed to strengthen the regional capacity of African and Asian companies in the area of special risks.
