FANAF Markets Forum 2020

The 6^th edition of the FANAF Markets Forum was held by videoconference on 23 and 24 November 2020 in Dakar, Senegal.

The theme of the meeting was "FANAF markets in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic". This topic included two sub-themes, impact of Covid-19 on FANAF markets and post pandemic perspectives.

The disruptions experienced by the insurance market due to the pandemic underline the need for a sector reinvention. During this health crisis, the member companies of FANAF are concerned about :

• the implementation of purely technical, financial and legal tools for the daily management.
• the need for support measures for companies in view of the numerous impacts of this health crisis on all the sector's activities
• the postponement of the deadline for the second phase of the insurance companies' share capital increase
• the revision of the legal regulations relating to the provision for a liquidity risk and the provision for a depreciation in value
• the reorganization of the application conditions of CICA-RE's legal cession on each and every policy.
