Fire insurance, compliance with fire safety standards required

Fire control services imposed the inspection in 2012 of all public buildings and facilities. Eventually all the infrastructures designed to receive the public, except for non-commercial houses and buildings, shall be targeted by this measure. Insurance companies are no longer allowed to issue a fire policy unless an insurance certificate is issued by the civil defence authority. The owners are now compelled to carry out regular inspections of their properties to ensure the proper functioning of security measures. Fines are imposed in case of non-compliance with the new requirements.
