Fitch Ratings confirms Tunis Re’s rating

Fitch Ratings has confirmed Tunis Re’s financial strength rating AA- (tun) and upgraded its outlook from stable to positive.

Despite an unfavourable economic environment, Fitch Ratings considers that Tunis Re’s performance remains solid. Maintaining the rating and upgrading the outlook reflect the effective risk management policy adopted by the Tunisian reinsurer. The agency also praises the actuarial work carried out by Tunis Re in terms of claims reserving.

Tunis Re enjoys a strategic position in the national economy where it maintains excellent relations both with its cedants and with the authorities.
