Floods in Abidjan, victims and considerable damage

The torrential rain of the night of June 19, killed 20 people in Abidjan and caused significant material damage. In the aftermath of the tragedy, rubble and car wrecks littered the roads that became totally impraticable.
The material damage is important with a toll expected to increase. Calls for donations have been launched.

The victims are rising concern on social networks. They accuse the poor road infrastructure, the state of the road with evacuation channels that mix wastewater and rainwater. The anarchic urbanization of Abidjan and the contempt of the security rules have, according to Internet users, aggravated the damage.
