France is the European country most impacted by climate damage

According to the annual study of the think tank Germanwatch, France is the European country that was most affected by climate damage during the period between 1998 and 2017. The annual average for France was 1.120 deaths and 2.2 billion USD in losses.

The study reviews 180 countries. The ranking is based on the annual number of deaths and the amount of losses related to extreme weather events.

At the global level, France is ranked 18th, Germany 25th, Italy 28th and the United Kingdom 60th.
