Generali: 99% increase in half-yearly net profit 2021

In the first half of 2021, the Generali group has posted a turnover of 38.09 billion EUR (45.34 billion USD), which represents an increase of 4.4% compared to the 36.478 billion EUR (41.02 billion USD) recorded at the end of June 2020.

With 12.3 billion EUR (14.6 billion USD), non-life premiums are progressing by 4%. The combined ratio stands at 89.7%, dropping by 0.2 points compared to the same period of 2020. For its part, the life activity has registered 25.79 billion EUR (30.7 billion USD) in written premiums, a 4.6% growth over one year.

The operating result has gone up by 10.4% to reach 2.99 billion EUR (3.55 billion USD) by the end of June 2021.

On that date, the Italian insurer has achieved a net profit of 1.54 billion EUR (1.83 billion USD) against 774 million EUR (870.53 million USD) in H1 2020, which constitutes a sharp growth of 99%.
