Generali: new organizational structure

On 27 January 2021, the Generali Group announced its reorganization plan. This new roadmap responds to the strategic challenges of the Generali 2021 plan.

As planned, the Group's Board of Directors has approved CEO Philippe Donnet's proposal for the management team's reorganization and the appointment of new managers.

The following have been appointed:

Effective 1 February 2021:

• Bruno Scaroni: Director of Transformation
• Cristiano Borean, Chief Financial Officer
• Isabelle Conner, Marketing and Customer Experience Manager
• Massimiliano Ottochian: Mergers & Acquisitions Director

Effective 1 March 2021:

• Sandro Panizza: Director of Insurance and Investments
• Carlo Trabattoni: CEO Asset & Wealth Management
• Giancarlo Fancel: Risk Manager

This new organizational structure eliminates the position of Chief Executive Officer. Frédéric de Courtois, who occupied this role, is thus being forced to leave his position.

Tim Ryan, Chief Investment Officer, is also leaving the group.
