South Africa, good performance for Sanlam in 2015

Sanlam achieved excellent results in 2015. The South African group posted a net result of 7.3 billion ZAR (474 million USD) up by 5.8%. The turnover of the company, for its part, grew by 15.6% in 2015 totaling 210.8 billion ZAR (13.6 billion USD) against 182.3 billion ZAR (15.7 billion USD) in 2014.

This performance is the result of the group expansion strategy on the African continent. In 2015, Sanlam acquired 30% stake in the Moroccan company Saham Finances, parent company of Saham Assurances thus setting foot in the 25 countries where the Moroccan insurer is settled.
