Good resistance of the Lebanese insurance market to the 2011 crisis

The figures published by the association of Lebanese insurance companies (ACAL) show that Lebanese insurers stood up to the 2011 crisis.

The market reported a 10% increase in premiums at 1.22 billion USD against 1.11 billion USD in 2010.

The highest increases were posted by health insurance,(+15%), and life insurance, (+10%), while motor insurance grew modestly by 3%.
