Growth of Sava Re's turnover in first nine months of 2018

Data reported by Sava Re for the first nine months of 2018 show a 5.2% growth in its turnover, amounting to 430.3 million EUR (499.2 million USD). This turnover confirms the merits of the group’s recent acquisitions.

Premium growth was driven by non-life insurance in Slovenia (9.9% growth), non-life in other countries (13.6% growth) and life insurance in other countries (14.4% growth).

Reinsurance activities, however, recorded a 6.6% year-on-year decline in premiums written. This decline is partly explained by the appreciation of the US dollar against the euro.

Sava Re Group, based in Ljubljana (Slovenia), has subsidiaries in Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro.
