Hannover Re expects a prosperous year 2012 for non-life insurance

Hannover Re is satisfied with its January 2012 non-life renewals. Ulrich Wallin, CEO of the German reinsurer, has reiterated that his group has noticed a slight tariff rise. This trend has been more obvious for the coverage of natural catastrophes. U. Wallin expects that upcoming 2012 renewals, which account for one third of the turnover, to be even more favorable. On January 1, 2012, Hannover Re renewed a premiums volume on the rise by 6% in comparison with the same period of 2011.
