Health insurance: a 200 USD monthly surcharge for Delta Airlines' non-vaccinated staff

Delta AirlinesThe American company Delta Airlines is tightening the screws on its employees who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19. Starting 1 November, non-vaccinated employees will have to pay a surcharge of 200 USD per month. This additional premium will be applied to the health premium deducted from the health policy underwritten by the company.

The airline's management states that the hospitalisation due to coronavirus costs 50 000 USD per person on average.

In the coming days, several airlines could follow the example of Delta Airlines. They would even go so far as to impose vaccination on their employees. It should be recalled that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) fully approved the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine on 24 August 2021.
