Health insurance accounts for 28% of the market

The premium volume written by health insurers amounted to more than 154.4 million JOD (218 million USD) in 2015, a 9% increase in comparison with 2014. According to the statistics elaborated by the ministry of industry, these sums account for 28% of the total premiums reported in the market.

In 2014, the insurers had reported 141.7 million JOD (201 million USD) in written premiums. In 2015, nearly 93% of the premiums written were accounted for by group policies.
