Henri Chalhoub passed away

Henri Chalhoub, founder and president of he Franco-Arab insurance and reinsurance union (UFA ) died on October 25, 2013 at the age of 80 years.

H. Chalhoub spent his childhood in Egypt before settling in 1962 in Beirut, where he began a career as a broker. He then ran the marine department of the company Union before he co-founded in 1973 the Société Libano-Française d’Assurance et de Réassurance (SLF ).

H.Chalhoub also founded MEPA Group, a brokerage and insurance company based in Cyprus.
