High increase of M&A transactions'volume in the first half of 2017

According to Willis Towers Watson, the number of merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions recorded during the first half of 2017 for all economic sectors decreased by 12.3% compared to the same period in 2016. The value of these transactions has, however, experienced an increase of 8.4%.

This trend can also be noticed in the insurance sector where the number of M & A decreased by 17.7% while the value of these operations jumped by 170%.
