Holmarcom acquires 78.7% of Crédit du Maroc's capital

Mohamed Hassan Bensalah CEOThrough its holding company Holmarcom Finance Company (HFC) and its subsidiary AtlantaSanad, Holmarcom has acquired 78.7% of the capital of Crédit du Maroc, from the French bank Crédit Agricole. The transaction will be carried out in two steps:

  • the Moroccan group will acquire a 63.7% stake, of which 50.9% via HFC and 12.8% via AtlantaSanad
  • the remaining 15% will be bought back eighteen months after the completion of the first acquisition

The operation, pending authorisation by the competent authorities, is part of Holmarcom's strategy to build an integrated financial pole with a pan-African vocation.
